More on Nash Finch layoffs

Inside INdiana Business elaborates on the planned layoffs at Nash Finch in Westville:

The company says most of the layoffs will happen on June 4, but the cuts could begin sooner.

Nash Finch, a food distributor, says one of its major customers is not renewing its contract. The layoffs will result in the elimination of both union and non-union workers. The company says employment losses will be felt by about half of the employees in its bargaining unit.

The unionized employees are represented by the International Brotherhood of Teamsters and International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers.
